Bring the Reserve into your code editor: our colors, our icons and a little dinosaur that grows as you work. It's free.

Two color themes made from the colors of this site. Every text color has a contrast of at least 4.5 to 1, so your code stays easy to read.

Rosa Product Icons redraw the bar down the side: a nest of eggs for the Explorer, a fern branch for source control, an amber drop for tests and a sauropod for your account. Rosa File Icons gives 54 kinds of files and folders an icon of their own.
A pixel dinosaur lives in your Explorer. It hatches from an egg and grows each time you save a file you changed, counted at most once a minute per file.

While it's still an egg, choose a sauropod, stegosaur, ceratopsian or raptor. You can change your mind until it hatches. If you haven't picked by then, VS Code asks you as it hatches.
A sprout that hatched before version 1.4 stays a sauropod.

Once it hatches, give your sprout the Meadow, Desert, River or Ember pattern. Change it any time in the Sprout view or with the palette button.

Under your sprout, a line shows when it hatched, how many saves it has and its streak: the days in a row you saved something.

Your sprout never dies and never loses its growth, so a week away is fine.
