At Rosa Realism, we prioritize the well-being and comfort of all community members. Our space is built on inclusivity, respect, and mutual consideration. To maintain this environment, Rosa enforces a strict zero tolerance policy on harmful language and inappropriate behavior, regardless of personal identity, intent, or reclaiming context. Everyone deserves a space free from slurs, harassment, or triggering content, and we ask all players to uphold that standard.

Slurs

We do not allow the use of slurs under any circumstances. This includes reclaimed slurs, "joking" uses, or out-of-context references. Many players within our community may not be in a position to reclaim certain words or may find them distressing regardless of how they are used. For this reason, slurs are prohibited entirely within Rosa and all affiliated communities operating under our guidelines.

Using any slur from the list below, even once, will result in an automatic Second Suspension, which may be escalated to a permanent ban depending on the context and severity, particularly in cases of racist, homophobic, or transphobic language. Staff reserve the right to act immediately in situations involving serious offenses.

Any other derogatory or targeted slur not listed above. We also do not accept any abbreviations or variations, for example -ing or -ed, of these slurs, or their translations and equivalents in other languages. They are handled case by case.

Circumventing filters, using censored versions of slurs, or attempting to find workarounds will be treated the same as using the word outright.

Sensitive topics and inappropriate behavior

Rosa Realism is not the place for certain discussions. Some topics may be deeply personal or harmful to others, even when presented jokingly or in a seemingly harmless context. For this reason, the following subjects are strictly regulated within our community, regardless of your intent, tone, or audience. Conversations and jokes involving them are not allowed and may result in a Strike 3 or a permanent ban, depending on the situation and staff judgment.

Inappropriate or sexual content

NSFW language, innuendo, or jokes, even references, are not allowed. This includes flirtatious behavior that ignores stated boundaries.
Sharing or discussing explicit content, including sexualized memes or misogynistic themes, is strictly prohibited.
"Just joking" does not excuse sexual misconduct or uncomfortable interactions.

Any form of sexualized interaction with or involving minors may result in a permanent ban.

Casual or comedic remarks or references to suicide, self-harm, and mental health crises are not tolerated.
Topics involving abortion, miscarriage, infant death, or reproductive trauma are not allowed as jokes and should not be discussed in the server.
This includes memes, song lyrics, dark humor, and roleplay involving these themes.
Mentioning these topics in a humorous context is harmful, as others may be personally affected.

If you are struggling with mental health, please seek support through trusted resources. Rosa is not equipped to provide crisis support, and neither are other community members.

Real-world violence, tragedies, and political content

Joking about or referencing mass shootings, war, terrorism, domestic violence, or other real-world violent events is not allowed.
Avoid debates or jokes involving political ideologies, world leaders, current or historical atrocities, or civil conflicts.
These topics are often divisive, triggering, or deeply personal to others, and are out of place in a community made for dinosaur gaming.
Avoid any language that diminishes real-life experiences related to identity, gender, religion, or culture, even when joking with friends.

Illnesses, disabilities, and disorders

Mocking, joking about, or making light of physical or mental conditions, such as cancer, AIDS, schizophrenia, autism, or ADHD, is forbidden.
Using diagnostic terms as insults is especially harmful and will not be tolerated.
Do not treat chronic or terminal conditions as punchlines.

Things to keep in mind

If you are unsure whether something is okay to say, stay on the side of caution and avoid using it.
If someone asks you to stop, respect that immediately by dropping the topic and not pressing the issue. "It was a joke" is not a justification for harm. The comfort of the wider community takes precedence over individual expressions that may cross boundaries.
Tone and context are considered during moderation, but impact always outweighs intent.

Enforcement and accountability

All moderation decisions are handled case by case with player safety as our top priority.
Penalties can include probation, temporary bans, or permanent removal from the community.
Staff will escalate situations based on severity, repetition, or blatant disregard for warnings. Players who are a poor fit for the server may be removed at staff discretion.
Conversations or actions occurring outside Rosa and related servers, but which violate Rosa's rules, may still be acted upon if they are deemed harmful.
