Opens a clutch. The number of eggs comes from the nesting profile for the season rather than from you, and more parents never means more eggs. The post goes up closed: nothing can be claimed from it until you press Open the nest, which appears once it has two parents, one of them marked as the parent every hatchling comes from, and, unless the species allows it, parents who are not all the same gender. It stays open for thirty minutes from that moment.

The location is captured when the post is made, because the hatchlings are teleported there rather than to you.

Rolls a creature out of the wild, with no parents and no family tree. The skins are drawn from what the species has rather than inherited. Everything after the gender is chosen is the same flow as claiming an egg.

Brings a third or fourth character into a courtship that is already running. Everybody already courting is asked first, and the new character only joins once they agree. The species is asked for so the picker can show the right characters.

Records an adoptee in your character's family. It is kept as an adoption rather than as a second parent on purpose: the genetics roller draws from biological parents only, so an adoptee never passes on skins it never had. A creature already above yours in the tree is refused, because that would make the tree loop.

Ends a courtship your character is in. Everybody in it is told. A courtship that has not finished cannot be used to open a nest, so ending one is how a pairing that is not going ahead stops blocking both characters.

Records a creature you already play. The species, name and gender are required; everything else can be filled in later on the editing screen. The expressed skin is the one it shows and the four carried fields are the ones it can pass to its young, which is what the genetics roller reads. A skin that is not in the catalog yet can be typed and shows on the profile, but cannot be inherited until staff add it.

Carried skins must come from the catalog. Only the skin a creature shows can be a name nobody has added yet.

Makes a creature on a screen rather than in one line. It asks for the diet, the species and a name, and then everything else is a picker: gender, subspecies, the skin it shows, the skins it carries, and the mutation or condition. Every choice saves as you make it.

The line a creature comes from and leaves behind, as writing and as a drawing in one message. Three generations up and three down. Naming a player narrows the picker to their creatures; left out it covers the whole Reserve, because half of any tree belongs to somebody else.

Turns an egg you have claimed into a real creature, once you are in the game on the right playable. It writes the family relationships, gives the creature its tag, and puts it in the family tree. A name and gender can be set here if they were not set on the roll.

Opens a courtship as an invitation to one other player. Only the person named can join, and joining is how they answer: they pick which of their own creatures is in it. A courtship binds somebody else's character for as long as it runs, which is why it is a question rather than an open post.

Opens the application form. Which forms exist, what they ask and who reviews them are all set on the website, so this is the one way in for a new member and the way to ask for an apex playable later.

Links your Alderon Games account to your Discord one. Be logged into the game server first: the bot whispers a code to you in-game, and `/verify` finishes it. Nothing about your characters, your petals or your nests works until this is done.

Finishes linking with the code you were whispered in-game. Proving you are logged in as that account is the whole point: it is what stops somebody claiming an account that is not theirs.
