Rosa Update: October 5, 2026
Birthdays have arrived at the Reserve, and the whole site got a fresh coat of paint.
Happy birthday, sprouts
You can now add your birthday to your page. Just the month and the day, never the year. Find it under Your page, where you can also switch the cake off or take your birthday away again.
Website
On your birthday, a cake shows on your page and on your card in the sprouts list. Rosa sends you a message in Discord too, and your first visit that day opens with a little surprise.
Website · Rosa Terminal
You can wish another sprout a happy birthday with one press. Their wishes arrive in a birthday envelope only they can see. The Reserve always wishes you too, so the envelope is never empty.
Website
Balloons float up the screen when you visit on your birthday. Not a balloon person? Press the button under them and they stay away until next year.
Website
The sprouts list has a Birthday sprouts button on days somebody celebrates. Press it to see whose birthday it is today and send them a wish.
Website
A fresh look everywhere
Your dashboard, your page and your characters have a cleaner, friendlier layout. The things you do most come first, and every page fits a phone, a tablet and a computer.
Website
The menu on your phone is easier to use. The buttons are bigger, and every page is within reach of your thumb.
Website
A sprout page now has a Back to sprouts button. It takes you back to the same page of the list, with your search and order kept.
Website
Your own card on the sprouts list now stands out with a gold edge. The page number that holds it is marked too. Prefer it on top? Flip the Show my page first switch under the search.
Website
Each appeal now shows how far along it is. A three-step bar shows sent, under review and decided, with a line on what happens next.
Website
Your page tells you when reactions or comments are switched off. Visitors see neither then, so a line on your own page says so and links to the setting.
Website
The front page tells you when applications are open. A line under the main buttons says so while a round is open and takes you to how to apply.
Website
Better reading
An event page now says when the event starts, or that it’s happening right now. At the bottom you’ll find what else is coming up. Event dates also follow your own time zone now.
Website
Newsletters show how long they take to read, and you can share one from under its title. On a phone the share button opens your share options. At the end of a newsletter you’ll find the editions before and after it.
Website
Bylines now show the Discord username of whoever wrote or handled something. A username is unique, so you always know exactly who it was.
Website
A page that doesn’t exist now points you somewhere useful. It offers the sprouts list, the news, events and the commands instead of a dashboard you may not be able to open.
Website
You can copy a command’s example, or a link straight to that command. Policies also show how long they take to read, and each one ends with the others.
Website
Status and voice
The status page now lives at status.rosarealism.com. It runs separately from the rest of Rosa, so it keeps working even when the site or the bots are down. The old address takes you there.
Website
Every service on the status page has its own bar, with a bar for each of its parts. Fold away what you don’t need and the page remembers it. Point at a day, or tap it, to see what happened and open the incident, which has its own address by its reference.
Website
A map now shows where Rosa runs and how each place is doing. Find it under Edge network. A button at the top of every status page takes you back to the site.
Website
Rosa Relay reads the chat aloud with a new voice. The old voice is being retired. Messages are still read word for word.
Rosa Relay
Rosa Relay now uses one tts-stt channel next to each voice channel. It finds the one in the same category, or makes it, and pings you there when it joins. Only messages people wrote are read aloud.
