Rosa Patch Notes: September 2026
Welcome back to Patch Notes!
Highlights
Accepted members get onto the game server again. For a while the game server turned down every whitelist change, so newly accepted members couldn’t join. Everyone on the registry is whitelisted now, and new members are added within a few minutes of being accepted.
Rosa Terminal
Being accepted on the site gives you your Discord role again. For two weeks, people accepted on the site were registered and whitelisted but never got their role. The same fault kept supporter roles in place after a pledge ended, and both work again.
Website
Picture uploads work again. For a while, uploads on the site could stop with “try again in a moment”, and trying again never helped. A picture that isn’t fully on your phone, like one stored in iCloud, is now caught the moment you pick it, and the page asks you to save a copy first.
Website
The background picture on your page shows again. A background you picked yourself could stay blank, even after you picked it again. It’s back now, and you don’t need to upload it again.
Website
Bot buttons no longer end in “This interaction failed”. Pressing a button on an older message, or just after a bot restarted, could fail. Every bot now answers every press, and a button that no longer does anything tells you so.

Around the site
- Fixed an issue where the Roster and Applying links in the header only worked while you were on the front page.
- The header no longer has its own Roster link, because the section bar on the front page already goes there. You can still get to the roster from the footer on every page.
- Fixed a bug where a section you jumped to ended up hidden under the top bar.
- Pressing the site name on the front page now takes you back to the top, even when a section is in the address.
- Every page now has a back to top button once you’ve scrolled far enough, not only the changelog.
- Fixed an issue where the account menu turned light and hard to read over the front page picture.
- The header now lights up The Reserve, Roster and Applying as you scroll past them on the front page.
- You can now jump to any of the nine parts of the front page from a row of links under the figures.
- The front page figures now line up as a set, and show in two columns on a phone instead of one long strip.
- The front page picture now fades into the page instead of ending in a hard line.
- Fixed an issue where long headings left one word alone on the last line.
- Numbers in lists, tables, tiles and timestamps now line up.
- Headings, labels and hints are now the same size for the same job on every page.
- Colors now match across every page, so dark mode looks right on pages where it was only close.
- Your dashboard, the settings and member pages now have the same paper texture as the front page.
- Body text now uses a new font that’s a little warmer and suits the site’s colors.
- Pages now have soft washes of green and gold behind them that shift slowly as you read.
- Every page now opens with a clear heading, with the description set apart from the page below.
- Form fields now look like places to type, and brighten when you click into them.
- Notices now have a colored bar down the side, so success, warning and error notices are easy to tell apart.
- Warning dialogs now look different from ordinary questions.
- Confirmation dialogs now name both choices, so the second button says “Keep as it is” instead of Cancel.
- A confirmation dialog now stays open with a spinning button until the thing you confirmed is done.
- Options and tick boxes can now be pressed anywhere on their row.
- Text links now have a faint underline, so they no longer look like headings.
- Fixed an issue where dropdowns showed a pale box for their arrow in the dark theme.
- Number tiles you can open now lift when you point at them, so you can tell them apart from tiles that only show a count.
- The top bar now blurs the page underneath it, so it clearly sits above the page.
- Empty pages now name what would show up there, like policies or newsletters, instead of “Nothing published yet”.
- The footer is now four short groups, with a copyright line for this year.
- Fixed a bug where birthdays one day apart could show a countdown two days apart. A birthday that has started where you are now says today, not “in 0 days”.
- The events and birthday pages now say what you’re looking at and what’s optional.
- Events now show as a list of dates, with what’s coming next above the calendar.
- A canceled event is now marked next to its date instead of in the middle of the text.
- Newsletters, events and policies now open the same way, with a link back to their list and their key facts in one block.
- Old notices now leave the list when a newer edition comes out, and their links still work.
- Fixed a bug where a newsletter’s gallery left out the pictures placed in the text, so some editions had no gallery at all.
- Clips in a newsletter now play right in its gallery, and the arrow keys still move through the rest.
- Added reactions under every newsletter edition, with the server emoji in the picker.
- Added the five newsletter editions that were sent in Discord, with their pictures, dates and writers.
- Fixed an issue where newsletter covers and some character pictures were saved at a lower quality than the rest.
- Gallery pictures are no longer cropped to a strip, so each one keeps its own shape.
- You can now swipe between pictures in the viewer on a phone, and the next ones load ahead so they don’t show up blank.
- Added a search box to the documentation page, and pressing the slash key anywhere on it starts a search.
- The documentation page can now be narrowed to staff or member commands.
- Command explanations on the documentation page now use the normal reading size, and the card you point at is highlighted.
- Your dashboard now opens with four figures that link to what they count, and is about half as tall as before.
- You can now sort the members list by recently updated, oldest first or A to Z.
- Your own page now sits at the top of the members list, marked as yours.
- The members list now shows three per row on wide screens.
- Fixed an issue where a member card cut off the in-game name, pronouns, local time and tagline.
- Member pages now name whose characters they show, instead of saying “Their characters” on every page.
- A member page with no characters in play now says retired and dead ones may still be on the registry.
- The sign in page now shows the button first, before the explanation.
- Fixed an issue where changes to your notepad and character boxes said Saved when nothing was saved. Your text now stays in the box, and the page says what stopped it.
- Fixed a bug where linking Patreon showed everyone as not supporting, whatever they pledged. Link it again and your pledge will show.
- Supporter roles are removed again when a pledge ends.
- The terms and the privacy notice now name all four Discord bots, where they used to leave out Rosa Wildlife.
- The terms now explain that a sprout is a member.
- The privacy notice now explains file uploads in one clear paragraph instead of two that disagreed.
- Both legal pages now have a contents list, a link for each section, and their version and date under the title.
- Pages behind a sign in, like your dashboard, tickets and transcripts, now ask search engines not to list them.
- Shared news articles and events now show their date and summary in search results and link previews.
- Fixed an issue where page numbers under a list jumped back to page 1 right after you picked another page.
- Fixed a bug where typing quickly in a search box dropped letters while the list caught up. Every letter counts.
- Every list now calls its page buttons Previous and Next, instead of a mix of Newer, Older, Back and Next.
- Your name and picture now stay in the top bar while you move between pages, instead of blinking out as if you’d been signed out.
- Fixed the header and the footer being pushed in from the sides of the window, leaving an empty band down each edge.
- Fixed selected tabs and filters looking empty because their label was the same green as the button.
- Moving between pages no longer flashes a blank screen before the new page fades in.
- Added a bar across the top of the window that shows while the next page is loading.
- Error pages now share one look with artwork, and say whether the page or the whole site failed to load.
- The section bar on the front page now highlights the section you’re looking at, and on a phone its apply button just says Apply so it fits.
- The front page address no longer grows with every section button you press. Nobody needed /#profiles#seasons#lore anyway.
- Fixed the first and last section buttons at the top of the front page looking cut off on a wide screen.
- The news and events sections on the front page now have clear buttons with icons, and an empty half says so and links to its page.
- Added icons to the List and Grid buttons on the news page, so the two views are easy to tell apart.
- Older news editions are now on numbered pages under the list.
- The site now uses more of a wide screen, while news articles and policies stay narrow so they’re easy to read.
- The dashboard, your page, your characters and your tickets now share one width and the same four tabs, so nothing jumps when you move between them.
- The account menu now says Dashboard where it used to say Your profile, and has its own entries for Your page and your characters.
- Each list on your dashboard now has one See all button with a count, instead of two buttons to the same page.
- The dashboard no longer says the game server is Closed when it means you aren’t on the whitelist yet.
- The four figures on your dashboard now sit in one row on a tablet.
- The Make your page button on the dashboard now only shows once your page can actually be made.
- The open tickets figure on your dashboard now opens your tickets even when none of them are open.
- The list of members is called Sprouts on every page now, not Members on its own page.
- The section links on the home page are now named after their sections: Lore, Our mods and Status.
- Status labels now start with a capital letter on transcripts, cases and the documentation page.
- The documentation page now shows one closed line per command, and pressing a line opens its options, example and notes.
- Fixed notes and links on the policies, events, terms and privacy pages that pointed to the wrong place.
- Every link and button now looks like something you can press, including back links and the small actions under a file.
- Checkboxes, choice buttons and sliders now use the site’s own look in both themes, and number fields lost their tiny arrows.
- Success messages now show as a small note in the corner that closes by itself, and three pages no longer show the same message twice.
- Fixed dropdown lists showing white text on a white background in the dark theme.
- Selected text now stays readable in the dark theme.
- The scrollbar now follows the dark theme instead of staying bright.
- Added a Version history button to the top of the changelog and the patch notes.
- Adding the site to your phone’s home screen now gives it the Reserve’s name, logo and color.
- A closed part of the site now says which part is down and whether it’s planned work.
- Replying to an email from the Reserve now keeps you in the same case, even from another address or with a changed subject.
- Our emails now greet you by name when we have it, and the automatic reply says we aim to answer within one calendar month.
- Links in our emails are now dark enough to read on the cream background.
- Rewrote the wording across the site to be shorter and plainer, and every error now says what to do next.
Your page and pictures
- The daily draw rules now say your sprout page setting counts for your characters too. A character only goes into the front page draw when your sprout page is set to Anyone with the link. The rules used to list that for sprout pages alone.
- Fixed an issue where a failed upload sent you to an error page; the message now shows on the form and your picture stays selected.
- Fixed a bug where banners were refused as the wrong file type after cropping in some browsers. Exporting again never helped, because the problem was on our side.
- Fixed a bug where the Use this frame button changed nothing; cropping now works on every picture, banners included.
- Framing your banner no longer cuts off the rest of the picture for good, so you can zoom back out any time.
- You can now reframe any picture in your gallery, even one that’s still waiting for staff.
- Pictures you crop on the site are now saved at up to 2000 pixels wide, in a sharper format.
- Uploaded pictures no longer turn blocky in dark scenes, like a character under trees at night.
- Fixed an issue where a thin pale line was drawn along the edge of your banner.
- Fixed an issue where a missing banner picture left an empty frame on your page.
- Fixed an issue where the bottom fade of your banner cut straight across your portrait.
- Added a switch to turn off the fade along the bottom of your banner.
- Fixed a bug where the banner fade still showed on your dashboard card after you turned it off.
- The banner preview now shows your real page, with the same shape, portrait placement and bottom fade.
- Fixed an issue where rounded banner corners looked like a square with its corners cut off.
- Fixed an issue where the band at the top of your dashboard card cut the top off your portrait.
- Fixed an issue where comment cards and other cards on pages with scenery were see-through, so the text was hard to read.
- Fixed a bug where dark mode made styled pages unreadable, like dark text on a dark card. Every color on a styled page now comes from that page.
- Pages with custom colors now look the same in light and dark, down to the card shadows and scrollbars.
- Fixed an issue where your tagline, share button and reaction counts nearly vanished on some phones.
- Fixed an issue where the quieter lines on a character card faded into dark pages.
- Fixed an issue where the shine on a role badge showed as a lighter box inside it.
- Fixed a bug where two-color page names cut off letters that hang below the line. Spyre had been reading as Sp,re.
- Fixed an issue where your own background didn’t show on pages with a backdrop picture.
- Fixed a bug where saving refused a longer stylesheet you’d been allowed, and the counter now shows your real limit.
- Tags, species and gender now always show as written, even when your stylesheet changes their case or spacing.
- Saved layouts now keep your colors, shapes, fonts and name style, not only your stylesheet.
- The Cormorant Garamond font now works on every page that uses it, without the reader having it installed.
- Sharing your page link now shows your scenery, colors, name and tagline instead of your Discord avatar.
- The About section on your page now allows 5,000 characters instead of 4,000.
- Saving something on your page now says what was saved, instead of just Saved.
- Sending a picture or comment now says who looks at it before anyone else can see it.
- Fixed an issue where choosing a picture that couldn’t be used said it had been taken off your page.
- Saving one part of your page now leaves the other parts alone, and brings you back to the part you were in.
- Deleting your page now sits with the settings for who can see it, instead of at the bottom of the styling.
- Fixed an issue where a page set to nobody still showed how long someone had played.
- Setting your page to nobody now hides what you wrote and your pictures, while your name and characters stay listed.
- Searching the sprout list now only matches what a page shows, so a page set to nobody is found by its names only.
- Fixed banners, backgrounds, page buddies and other uploaded pictures on sprout pages going blank after they moved to new storage.
- Fixed news pictures going blank, both on the news list and inside every edition.
- A character page now shows the same background picture or scene as its owner’s page.
- Fixed a styled sprout page being drawn inside a second copy of its own frame, which reset its background and moved everything on it.
- A sprout’s own page style can no longer reach outside their page or cover the site’s header and footer.
- The reaction picker and the profile card no longer get cut off near the edge of a sprout page.
- A sprout page with nothing written on it now shows its facts in a row, with the characters right below, instead of a lot of empty space.
- The plus sign for leaving a reaction now says “Leave a reaction” when a page has no reactions yet.
- The button to edit your own page or character is now a real button in a bar of its own.
- The page editor now calls the picture across the top a banner everywhere, screen readers included.
- The page visibility setting now says correctly that a new page starts open to anyone with the link.
- Every file you attach now gets its own row with its own progress, and a file that fails can be sent again while the rest stay attached.
- Added a button to stop an upload, and the file stays chosen so you can send it again.
- You can now paste a screenshot straight into any upload area, or drop a file on it.
- Upload areas now say which files they take and how large they can be before you pick one.
- A still picture over the size limit is now shrunk in your browser before it’s sent, and you’re told when that happens.
- Fixed picking many evidence files at once, where the last few were refused for going too fast.
- Choosing files now uses a clear button with a line that counts your files, instead of the browser’s text getting cut off on a phone.
- Added a note in the corner that shows how many files are still uploading on a long form.
- Pictures in emails, appeals and reports now open in a viewer on the page, and the arrow keys move to the next one.
- An opened picture now covers the whole page on a dark background in both themes. The Nestings heading had its moment on top of it.
- Animated pictures can now have up to 300 frames and 50 million pixels in total, and ones already on the site aren’t affected.
- A picture that’s taken down or turned down now leaves the site right away.
- Fixed a picture waiting on a second look being deleted before anyone looked at it again.
- Only members of the Discord server can now write comments on sprout and character pages, and everyone else sees a note saying so.
Characters, nests and courtship
- Fixed a bug where the windows for naming a hatchling and describing a nest didn’t open.
- Fixed a bug where winning a rare mutation roll opened a menu that never appeared.
- Fixed a bug where nests with an uploaded picture stopped updating and lost their picture.
- Fixed an issue where registering a hatchling said the interaction failed even though the character was made.
- Errors during a roll now say what went wrong, instead of showing as a failed interaction.
- Naming a hatchling now shows the new name on the roll and the nest right away.
- Rolls now name the species first, then who the hatchling came from.
- Fixed an issue where people with direct messages closed never got their egg roll. Replies now show under the nest post, visible only to you.
- Fixed an issue where a nest that waited for its second parent lost part of its 30 minutes; the time now starts when you open it.
- Nest posts no longer show a wait between clutches that didn’t apply to anyone, and seasons with the same egg limit share one line.
- Nest posts now show each parent’s and egg taker’s in-game name next to their Discord name.
- Egg lists now show whether each egg is male or female.
- A nest now tells you when someone couldn’t be pinged, so you can point them to the post yourself.
- Skins a hatchling can’t wear, and conditions your species has no skin for, are no longer offered.
- Fixed a bug where a clutch could end up with one skin from parents who had many; hatchlings now carry three when the parents have enough.
- Skins meant mostly for one gender now show up less often on the other.
- A subspecies a character grew into can no longer pass to its hatchlings.
- Skins are now called expressed and carried instead of dominant and recessive, on the bot and on character pages.
- Character sheets and pages now list the skin and the condition separately.
- Fixed a bug where adding a partner could mark a courtship finished before it started.
- Fixed a bug where a courtship post didn’t update when someone joined, canceled, or the courtship ended.
- You can now turn down a new courtship partner, where accepting used to be the only button.
- You’re now told when a courtship or giveaway post couldn’t be updated, instead of the reply saying it was.
- Gynandromorphs are now turned away when you pick one for a courtship, instead of later at the nest.
- Fixed an issue where a character’s owner was cut off at the end of long lines in character lists.
- Character searches now put an exact name match first, and also match the owner and the species.
- Fixed a bug where long tags and species codes ending in a number couldn’t be found by typing them.
- Character lists now show the name before the tag, and bot replies no longer print the tag at all.
- Every character list now shows the character’s gender, gynandromorphs included.
- Fixed a bug where the family tree command always sent the written list instead of the drawing.
- Fixed a bug where the family tree command could draw a brother as someone’s father.
- Characters that share a parent now show as siblings on their own.
- Fixed a bug where picking a member on the family and adoption panels ended in “did not respond in time”.
- Father options on the family panels now only show a member’s male characters.
- Picking a bot on a family panel now says why it can’t be picked, instead of showing an empty list.
- Fixed a bug where a gynandromorph could be recorded as a father or mother.
- You can no longer adopt your own character.
- Fixed a bug where typing a name instead of picking one could record an adoption from someone you didn’t name.
- Both owners now get a message about an adoption, saying what was recorded and what doesn’t change.
- Fixed an issue where the list of your own characters stopped at 25 when adopting; you can now search it.
- Fixed an issue where skin lists and the nest screen stopped at 25 entries; they now have pages.
- Carried skins you ticked now stay ticked when you change pages.
- The character screen now keeps working as more species are added. One species too many would have broken the whole screen.
- Fixed several family tree drawings where the lines between parents, clutches and young stopped short or missed their card.
- The line from a clutch now lands on the young itself, so a mate beside it no longer looks like a sibling.
- The line between two mates is now dashed, so it no longer looks like a row of young.
- Fixed a bug where family tree cards showed an empty band instead of the character’s picture.
- Fixed a bug where a mate who had young with your son was labeled a niece. Family trees are complicated enough already.
- Fixed an issue where long character names spilled over the family tree below them.
- The save as picture button now shows on the family tree of a character with no family yet.
- A character that belongs in two places in a family tree is now marked in its second spot.
- Family trees now have bigger cards, more room between rows, and relations written as text instead of boxes.
- A character with no family now says “No parents or offspring on record yet” in plain words.
- Fixed an issue where character pictures were cropped to fit a box, cutting the head and feet off tall sheets.
- Fixed an issue where a character’s second picture was cut to a wide strip.
- Fixed a bug where a character’s traits showed as “[object Object]”.
- Gender and diet on cards and character pages now start with a capital letter.
- A character’s gender on its card is now a badge with its own color, instead of a faint symbol.
- Character pages now show the name, tag and species above the picture, and the story uses the full page width.
- Clutches on a character page now list the young by name, with links to their pages.
- Renaming, retiring and deleting a character now explain why a change was refused.
- Retiring a character no longer offers to delete it, since only staff can do that.
- The save button for a character’s name now only shows once you’ve changed the name.
- Character names on your dashboard now open the character’s page.
- Your characters on your dashboard now have their own heading, and their story, pictures, privacy and notes are buttons.
- The switch between characters in play and all characters now shows both choices and marks the one you’re on.
- A link to a missing character now opens that member’s page instead of the not-found page.
- Fixed an issue where the bot could draw a family tree picture for a page staff had hidden; it sends the written tree instead.
- The bots and the site now say character everywhere, instead of mixing in creature.
- Fixed a bug where removing the only partner in a courtship ended the whole courtship.
- Cancel and a leftover Decline button no longer delete a courtship whose timer is already running.
- Accepting a courtship invitation now refuses a gynandromorph, the same as starting a courtship does.
- Two people joining an older courtship invitation at the same moment can no longer go over the species’ size limit.
- /courtshiptimer now lists courtships still waiting for someone to accept.
- Finishing a courtship early now updates its post.
- A finished courtship is announced once, instead of pinging everyone twice during a bot update. Once is plenty.
- A nest with one egg left now says one egg, not “x1 Eggs Available”.
- Nest posts now say that any parent on the nest can bring the hatchlings in.
- A full nest now says maximum instead of required, and the refusal for an egg covers a closed nest as well as a full one.
- A time requirement under a day now shows in hours instead of “0 days”.
- The gender screen now says a skin of the other gender can’t roll, instead of saying it’s less likely.
- Wild characters rolled with /spawn no longer show a paid skin button that did nothing.
- Roll cards now explain what expressed and carried skins are.
- Giving an egg back now names the button to press, instead of asking for a reaction.
- Fixed the nest picture message that said a link has to start with https, when it has to start with https://.
- Two people taking the last egg at the same moment can no longer both get it, and a double press on register makes one hatchling.
- Pressing Open twice on a nest draft now posts one nest.
- Changing a nest picture no longer shows an error for a change that worked.
- A nest picture now has to be a picture within the size limits.
- Gifting more petals than you have now says the gift didn’t go through, followed by your balance.
- Quick double presses can no longer create an extra item or sell more than the shop has in stock.
- The shop now charges the price you saw, and tells you the new price if staff changed it in the meantime.
- A shop purchase can no longer be charged twice while a new version of the bot takes over.
- Two character lists that called characters “gone” now say “no longer in play”, like the rest of the bot.
- A character is In play, Retired or Died on every page of the site now, with a dot beside each.
- Empty character pages now point the owner to the edit page to add a picture or a story.
- The save buttons on a character now say Save the story and Save your notes, instead of both saying Save notes.
- A second press on Retire or Restore no longer undoes the first one.
- Restoring a character that died now asks you to confirm first.
- Bringing back a character that died now needs a Trailguide or higher, and the page says to open a ticket.
- Retiring a character in Discord now refuses one that isn’t in play.
- A character name made only of invisible characters is now refused instead of showing up blank.
- Character names now keep emoji made of several parts, such as family emoji and flags.
- The search box for your characters is always there now, not only once you have six or more.
- Renaming, retiring or changing who can read about a character now brings you back to the same search and page.
- The family section of a character page is now called Family tree, the same as the Discord command.
- Family tree lines now meet where they should, in the saved picture and in Discord as well as on the page.
- A parent who married into a family now brings their own parents into the same tree, instead of being drawn twice.
- Wide family trees now open centered on the character the page is about.
- Saving a family tree picture now shows its progress, takes a few seconds instead of about fifteen, and names the file after the character.
- Family trees no longer show pictures their owner marked private, or pictures of a character whose page is hidden.
- You now see your own private pictures on your cards in someone else’s family tree.
- A character that staff delete now shows as “Deleted character” in family trees, so nobody loses a parent.
- Deleting a character now also takes its pictures off the site.
- A giveaway whose draw failed is now drawn after all.
Reports, penalties and appeals
- Fixed a bug where the windows for naming who else was involved and for picking rules didn’t open.
- Fixed an issue where opening a discussion could leave an empty channel with no explanation in it.
- Your half-written report is now saved through a bot restart, and kept for an hour after your last answer.
- You now confirm whether a report is public or private before you fill anything in, with the option to switch.
- Each case now has one number, shown on the report, both of its channels, the mod log and the site.
- Private reports are no longer shown to the people they’re about.
- If a report names you, you’re never told who filed it.
- A staff member can no longer claim a report they filed, were reported in, or are named in.
- You’re now warned twice before a discussion closes, at six hours and at one hour.
- The discussion channel now says what you’re there to discuss and how long you have.
- You’re now told when a different staff member takes over your case.
- A closed discussion channel now posts the decision and a transcript link before it’s removed.
- Messages about your case now name the case and who’s handling it, with the link as a button.
- Report messages now call a channel a channel, instead of a room in one place and a post in another.
- Confirmations while you fill in a report now say what was saved, instead of just Saved.
- Channel messages now say exactly what’s saved and who can read the transcript after the case closes.
- Opening a case transcript before the case is closed now tells you when it opens and that you’ll get the link.
- Case transcripts now show bot messages the way they looked, where they used to be plain text.
- Fixed an issue where pins, joins and channel renames showed as empty lines in a case transcript.
- The staff emoji board now shows each staff member’s username and explains what their emoji marks on reports and tickets.
- Appeals can now include up to ten pictures and clips instead of one.
- Your appeals now show above the new appeal form, and the page lists what can’t be appealed as a clear warning.
- Cases and transcripts now lay out their facts the same way, with labels set apart from their values.
- A temporary ban now ends in the game on the day it says it ends.
- Winning an appeal now also ends your ban in the game.
- The game server now names the penalty that keeps you out, instead of only a rule number.
- While you’re banned, your page and characters stay up but can’t be changed, and every form and command names the day the ban ends.
- A banned member can no longer link or verify a game account, post or join courtships, roll with /spawn or make a suggestion.
- Only staff who handle reports can claim a report now.
- Filing a private report no longer shows you Discord’s own error text when the channel can’t be made.
- The appeal form now asks its questions in plain words, starting with “Which penalty this is about”.
- The evidence field on an appeal now names one size limit instead of two different ones.
- Clips for an appeal are now shared as links to YouTube, Medal or Streamable, and screenshots are still uploaded as files.
- Your appeals now show fifteen per page with page numbers, instead of stopping after fifty.
Tickets
- Fixed an issue where a ticket that failed to open left an empty channel nobody could close; you’re now asked to try again.
- Fixed a bug where one deleted role in the ticket settings could stop every ticket from opening.
- Ticket messages now name the ticket and say what changed and what happens next, instead of only saying “Closed”.

- A new ticket’s first message now asks what happened, when, who else was involved, and for anything that shows it.
- You can no longer unclaim a ticket you opened or were added to.
- An escalated ticket now goes back to unclaimed, so the staff brought in can see nobody is handling it yet.
- Fixed an issue where pins, joins and channel renames showed as empty lines in a ticket transcript.
- Ticket transcripts now show bot messages the way they looked in the channel.
- Your tickets page now shows how many are open, closed and in total.
- Every ticket on the site now shows whether it’s open or closed, and opens with one press.
- Rosa Front Desk is now called Rosa Support, and tickets work exactly the same.
- A closed ticket now always sends you a message with a link to read it back.
- Ticket buttons now open their questions right away, even on a busy day or just after a restart.
- You now always get a link to your new ticket, and pressing the button twice no longer opens two tickets.
- Very long answers no longer stop a ticket from opening with its buttons, and your full answers are saved.
- Messages sent while Rosa Support was offline now make it into the transcript.
- Closing a ticket twice no longer sends you two messages.
- A ticket now opens even when its usual category in Discord is full.
- Your ticket now says it’s waiting for a staff member instead of showing the word “unclaimed”.
- If you’re removed from your own ticket, the message now says correctly that you can still read it.
- Ticket messages now say which ticket they mean, and a refusal names who can help.
- Pictures in a transcript now open on the page, and the arrow keys move through every picture in the ticket.
- Added a button at the top of a transcript that copies its link.
- A transcript now calls everyone by the same name, so nobody shows up twice.
- Fixed a bug where one message with an unusual timestamp stopped a whole transcript from opening.
- Your tickets list now only shows tickets you can also read in Discord, so every link in it opens.
- You can now search your own tickets by number, kind or close reason, and the list shows fifteen per page.
Joining and applications
- Fixed a bug where the front page kept saying applications were closed after staff opened them.
- The front page button now says Apply when you’re already signed in.
- Applications now say when the next round opens, in your own time zone, and when an open round closes.
- The apply page now says clearly when applications are closed, and only shows form tabs when there’s more than one form.
- Fixed a bug where a declined application arrived without the reason staff wrote.
- Fixed a bug where sending an application twice quickly could leave two in the queue.
- Fixed a bug where an application sent back for one answer said required questions were empty.
- You now hear the decision on your application in Discord, with the reason and what to do next.
- Staff can now send an application back for one answer to be fixed, with a reason beside each answer, and it doesn’t use up an attempt.
- The acceptance message now says you’re on the whitelist, instead of naming the sprout role you already had.
- Your application is now called an entry application, not a Sprout form.
- The application form now says how long it is, who reads it and when you’ll hear back.
- Each question on the form now shows its number out of the total, and the one you’re answering stands out.
- Your account details on the form no longer look like a question.
- Long answers now show how much room is left, where the box used to cut off your text without warning.
- Written answers now need at least 200 characters, and you see this as you type.
- The end of the form now says whether sending is final and how many attempts you have.
- The whitelist row on your dashboard now says whether you can join the game server, and what to do if you can’t.
- Leaving the Discord server now signs you out of the site and clears your registry entry, so your game account can be registered again.
- Your characters, tickets and staff decisions are still saved when you leave, so you don’t start over if you come back.
- The privacy statement now explains what happens when you leave the server, and what stays behind and why.
- The apply page now explains a refused in-game name or a taken Alderon ID, instead of showing a general error.
- The in-game name on an application is now checked before you send it, so your written answers aren’t lost to a refusal.
- An application whose Alderon ID belongs to another member now stays waiting with a clear reason, instead of being approved without a rank, role or whitelist spot.
- Passing the apex application now gives you the apex role within a few minutes, and a penalty that bars apexes takes it off until the penalty ends.
- Members added with /register or /link now show on the sprouts list right away.
- A changed registry entry is now posted again in full, instead of edited with a note under it that didn’t always get cleaned up.
- The age screen now says what you answered and has a button to change it.
In the game
- In-game commands now tell you whether they actually worked.
- Fixed an issue where in-game commands gave their usual reply even when nothing happened.
- Fixed a bug where commands like skipping your shed worked but then whispered that nothing happened.
- When the game server is slow to confirm a command, you’re now asked to check in the game instead of typing it again.
- The map now says when the game server didn’t answer, instead of saying nobody was online.
- Hatchlings are no longer moved to the nest as soon as an egg is drawn, hours before anyone is ready. A button on the nest post lets you choose where they land and who comes.
- The bot now only moves you to a nest if you’re playing the hatchling, so your adult is never moved and shrunk.
- A nest now refuses to bring in a character that’s more than a quarter grown, so you don’t lose growth.
- Hatchlings are now set to hatchling size as soon as they reach the nest.
- Either parent can now bring the young in, and both get a message when a hatchling is ready.
- Bringing hatchlings in now names anyone who didn’t arrive, and says whether the game server was off or refused.
- Added /whereami, which gives your position in the game, ready to paste into a nest post.
- Changing your Alderon ID now moves your whitelist spot to the new ID and takes the old one off.
- A growth code the game server refuses is now handed back to you, and you’re asked to check in the game when the server doesn’t confirm.
- Sending the same in-game command twice in one second no longer hands out its reward twice.
- A suspended player who switches off an apex within the two minutes now keeps their growth.
- Playtime is no longer counted twice when two counts run at the same time.
- /whereami now finds you by your whole Alderon ID, so it can no longer show another player’s position.
- Nest posts are now matched to your whole Alderon ID or exact name, so they can’t pick another player’s nest.
Discord and the bots
- Staff commands now start with STAFF: in the Discord command list, so you can tell which parts are for staff.
- Around ninety bot messages now say “that egg” instead of “the selected egg”. You never selected anything.

- Bot messages now name the egg, courtship or character they’re about.
- The message you get when you have no character now says how to add one.
- The bots now tell you when a message, post or change didn’t go through, instead of saying it did.
- Checking in twice now says you’re all set, and picking roles you already have says so plainly.
- /whoami now shows your account and any active penalties in two clear sections.
- The role menu now tells you which roles it couldn’t give, instead of saying every role was added.
- Added notes that stay at the bottom of a channel, so the thing everyone needs to read is always the last message.
- Fixed a bug where a sticky note kept posting itself again and again. It took its own note as a new message.
- Giving petals or an item is now one command, /give, and the item list shows what you own and how many.
- Removed two duplicate Rosa Conservatory commands, since the same things were already one press away.
- Rosa Conservatory’s command descriptions now say what each command does, instead of labels like “Your characters”.
- The /familytree option called creature is now called character.

- Each update in a status thread now carries a colored mark, so you can see which came during the problem and which after.
- The changelog channel now posts a short summary of each changelog post and the monthly patch notes, with a button to the full post.
- Suggestions made between 17 and 20 September were saved but never posted, and they’re all in the forum now.
- Fixed the suggestion window not opening, and it no longer offers tags only staff can use.
- Suggestion titles no longer start with a number in the list of posts.
- Suggestions can now be marked maybe later, already planned or wrong format, and a decision message names the suggestion and the reason.

- Fixed words showing up twice in a transcript when a speaker paused for a moment.
- Audio from other bots, such as a music bot, is no longer written down.
- Fixed the backup reading voice not being there, so the chat is still read out when the usual voice can’t be reached.
- Speaker names in a transcript are now bold, and lines in a row from one person sit under one name with their picture.
- Only staff can call Rosa Relay into a voice channel now.
- Added a daily limit on transcription and reading aloud, and a session now ends after three hours.
- /join now says which half didn’t start because of the daily limit, and Relay leaves the channel when every half has reached it.
Accessibility
- About six hundred hints, timestamps and labels that were too faint are now darker, in both themes.
- Buttons and links now react the moment you press down, so on a phone you can tell a press worked.
- Form fields now show errors on the field itself, and screen readers hear which sentence explains the problem.
- Fixed an issue where the skip to content link on the legal pages had nowhere to land.
- Screen readers now announce the number of results as you search the members list.
- The moving background colors now stand still if your device is set to reduce motion.
- The calendar arrows and day marks are now big enough to tap on a phone.
- On a phone, the back to top button is now just an arrow so it no longer covers what you’re reading, and screen readers still hear its label.
- A character’s gender, and each state on a case, now shows with a mark as well as a color.
- The written family tree now marks each generation with a line, since phones dropped the spaces.
- The account menu now works with the keyboard: the arrow keys, Home and End move between entries, and Escape closes it.

- The picture viewer now keeps keyboard focus inside it and hands it back when it closes.
- Buttons are now at least 44 pixels tall, and small controls are too on a touch screen.

- The line at the bottom of the footer no longer cuts off the version number on a phone.

- Fixed an issue where Rosa Terminal couldn’t start after an update.
- Fixed an issue where new and changed Rosa Conservatory commands didn’t show up in Discord.
