Being added to the registry now tells you how to link your account

Getting your details on record is what lets you onto the game server. Proving the account is really yours is a separate step, and nothing ever told you how to take it. A second message now arrives right after your details, with the four things to do in order, including the one that catches everybody out: run the command while you are still logged in to the game server. Anybody who has already linked is sent nothing.

The kick and ban commands describe the right consequence

The hint under the kick reason said the player would be banned, and the one under the ban reason said they would be kicked. Each now describes its own command, and removing marks says it removes them.

Everything calls you a sprout now, because that is what you are

Your rank has said Sprouts since the day it was made, and every screen and every message still said member. One word for one thing is easier to trust than two.

The registry says whose entry to clear

Registering an Alderon ID somebody else already holds used to answer with "clear it there first", which named nothing. The reply says to clear the ID from their registry entry.

You hear about your own registry entry

Staff run the registration, so you did nothing and used to find out by going to look. You are now pinged where it happens and sent the entry directly, with a link back to it. Every later change reaches you the same way.

Linking tells you that you are verified, not whitelisted

Whitelisted is a state we keep on our side. Verified is the thing you just did, and it is what the rest of the server calls it.

Account verification no longer looks like a staff edit

Verifying with a code from the game is you proving the account is yours, not somebody editing your record, so it now passes in silence. It only touches your entry at all if you linked an account other than the one on file.

The registry entry describes the sprout, not the staff member

The registry entry now contains four clear fields: your Discord name and ID, followed by your Alderon name and ID. Registration history no longer distracts from the account details people need to copy.

Writing to the bot gets you a fact

A direct message still explains that staff do not monitor the bot inbox. The reply now ends with a dinosaur fact instead of ending on a refusal.

Filing a report opens a proper form

The command asks who and when, then a window opens with room to actually write. No more fitting the whole story into a line that hides half of itself behind "+4 more".

Clips and screenshots have their own boxes

Each clip or screenshot goes on a separate numbered line. Staff can open the exact moment you referenced instead of searching through an unstructured list of links.

An event on the calendar is a real Discord event

Mark yourself interested and Discord reminds you when it starts, the same as any other event in the server.

The bots answer a direct message

They used to sit there reading it. Now they point you at where to ask, which is what you wanted from them anyway.

New sprouts get a welcome

The founders write and update the welcome message, so every new sprout receives a current introduction instead of silence.

Check in, and pick your own pings

One button records that you have read the rules, and a menu lets you choose notification roles. Staff no longer have to assign those roles one person at a time.

Moderation gets a case number

Every moderation incident receives one case number that stays attached as reports, investigations, and penalties move through the process.

Every bot answers a command the same way

They were written on different days and behaved like it, so the same thing worked in one place and not in another. A restart no longer makes a bot answer you twice either.

Screenshots on a report stop expiring

Discord throws its own attachment links away within a day, so the evidence in a report was gone by the next morning. Rosa keeps a copy the moment you post it.

Apply on the site, hear back in Discord

You complete the application on the website, and staff review the application in Discord. The decision reaches you in Discord without requiring another form or account.

Prove your account is yours with /link

The bot whispers you a code in-game. Only somebody actually logged in as that account can read it, which is the only proof worth having.

Sprouts stopped seeing commands they cannot run

Only what you can actually use shows up in the picker.

Reporting somebody now leads somewhere

A report becomes an investigation, and an investigation ends in a penalty from a fixed ladder with the rulebook behind it. A decision points at a rule rather than at a mood.

What you can do follows your role in the server, and it updates the moment your role does.
